AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PROVOST, ADENIRAN OGUNSANYA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION* _(Dr. Mrs Ladele Aina Omolola)_
To the CEO of the aforementioned College Of Education which is arguably the best in Nigeria.
Greetings to your excellency ma, words alone can't express the legacy you have laid, your Brobdingnagian quota to the status quo of the college, and your positive impacts in the college.
It's impressive knowing that the college under your reputable personality and managerial tactics has reached her hegemony; drastic change both in the hooks and crannies of the college which it's too obvious that even a blind man can see within the few period of your stay in office. Your commitment to work, your humility to everyone, your concern to the growth of the school has been pivotal.
I applaud you for this ma.
Renovations, Consistency in academics and administration activities, Preparations towards the forthcoming N.C.C.E accreditation exercise that eventually gave Buildings, Lecture Rooms, Offices, Laboratories, Gardens, Libraries, Entrances, Sports centres, Toilets, Signboards e.t.c a new and pleasing look is commendable and applaudable.
Let me bring this to your limelight ma, despite all the renovations and additions here and there, it is shocking and embarrassing that the most important place coupled as the most crucial place to you and the entire followers of Christ is left untouched.
This building has been abandoned by even your predecessor over decades. The building which is as old as the college herself has been in an awkward, sticky and unenviable status mortifying the worshipers or the user of the building. What a shame!
It's obvious that this piece is talking of no other place, building, auditorium than the College Church popularly known as the _College chapel of Regeneration (christian community)_ and equally the building that housed the spirit of the most high God and the instrument used in propagating his good news.
Ma, with utmost humility i put the following questions forward:
*- Isn't it ridiculous for the college which is among the best in west Africa to point a mortifying uncompleted building as her Church Auditorium?*
*- Isn't it a thing of disgrace or an aberration to the Christian community knowing fully well that the PROVOST of the college is a devoted Christian?*
*- How embarrassing will it be if a devoted Christan among the personalities coming to accredit the college asked you to lead them to the college church and you lead them to a tattered and unroofed building covered by a gigantic ICT building?*
Ma, it's to this end i will affirm that if you ponder much on the question above you would agree with me and the entire Christians in AOCOED that even in absence and presence of accreditation exercise the college _chapel of regeneration_ building needs urgent completion and reimbursement in terms of sounds and musical instrument to worship the most high who is the owner and protector of the college.
Little can students do about this completion through our offerings but it is our earnest expectation that you will give this letter a special attention and give a favourable reply to the request.
Truly work is going on in the college but there is a need to stretch the hand of the exercise to the sacred building in the School in pursuance of a conducive atmosphere and a balanced environment.
Thanks in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
AOCOED Student.
